There’s a little steep slope uphill to walk. But it’s good for your exercise on your body for just 30 minutes trekking. Hot fountains are spotted in places and become one of the attraction spots for tourists. You can enjoy the fountain splashing up in the sky to 15 meters high!

Haukadalur is a pretty big and easy accessible geothermal park around 1,5-2 hrs drive from Reykjavik. It's just off the road with a big free parking lot just across the site, with two restaurants, hotel and souvenir (gift) shop. Remember this site is included in every tour from Reykjavik so expect to be very busy with many buses, vans and private cars. The geothermal area is medium size, easy to navigate with low efforts. Among many small bubble holes all around, two geysirs dominate the site - the Geysir (upon all others worldwide got their name) and Strokkur. Geysir is sleepy (not erupting), but Strokkur compensates for it. It erupts every 8-10 min spraying water some 10-30 met up in the air. Be prepared with your camera, wait and enjoy

Very busy, touristy place, but you can see why. What An amazing sight of nature to see the geysirs. One piece of advice is to not blink as you might miss it and have to wait another 6 minutes or so til the next blast! Or, if you are like me, you will watch this over and over again anyway. It’s brilliant! The amenities were great at this location too, clean bathrooms.

It's a geyser valley. Actually, the word "geyser" comes from a big geyser here. Icelanders call him Geysir. This is how it all feels: there is a crowd of people holding up their cameras. You can see that they are waiting for something. And in about 5 minutes a column of water and steam bursts out. That is impressive. There are plenty of smoking springs around, it smells of hydrogen sulphide. There is a sign at the entrance to the valley stating that the water is very hot and there is no need to touch it with your hands. It is also reminds that the nearest hospital is 62 km away

Full of tourists but you can see why! Impressive explosive geyser. It erupts every 3-5 minutes. No entry fee, no tour required - you can go by yourself. Excellent restaurants nearby with a ski chalet vibe.

Nice geyser on the golden circle route. Erupts every 20 min or so. Be sure to take the trail up to get a panoramic view.

Take the walk path up the mountain to enjoy a better view of the whole geyser parc, plus you can see the beautiful valley on the opposite side of the mountain with horses and little cabins.
